I am a little bit woman at the well, a little bit prodigal daughter and a Proverbs 31 wanna-be. If none of that makes sense to you, hang with me, we can still be great friends, I promise.  I am married to my best friend, a mom to the most awesome 15 year old young man around, a grateful “step-mom” and a Nana to two precious little boys! My family is a constant source of inspiration each day as I strive to be living out my legacy.

We live on a little country road in North Georgia with plenty of rolling green pastures and lots of blue skies and sunshine. I am a southern girl through and through and would prefer it to never be below 60 degrees outside.

We have a wild three year-old Chocolate Labrador Retriever and a more tame, but equally spoiled and hairy eight year-old Black Labrador Retriever. They are kind enough to allow me treat them like babies, which helps since our grand-sons live out of state. Our oldest son proudly serves in the United States Navy.

I have spent over 30 years serving and loving on women as a Hairstylist and over 20 years inspiring and encouraging women as a Fitness Trainer. There have been been lots of up and downs on my journey. Yet through it all, God has remained faithful, even when I have not…

I began writing as a way to connect more to myself and to God. My love of writing continued for decades and in 2022 the vision for The Ripple, my first novel was born and my life has been forever changed.

As I wrote and rewrote the novel and performed edit after edit, I found myself wondering if I could rewrite my own story? If I could create purpose, passion and joy for the made up main-character I had created, couldn’t I do the same thing for myself?

Through much effort and a deeper connection to God’s purpose for my life, I found the answer to these questions to be a resounding YES! Little by little, I did just that. I rewrote my story. I reframed my past. I reworked my present experiences and I began to dream and anticipate a brighter future. And, before I knew it, I was living as a more purposeful, passionate version of myself.

It is amazing to see the fruits of our labor when we begin to live as the women God created us to be. There is such peace, love and joy to be found when we step out of our old beliefs and patterns and step into His promises.

It is truly my great honor and blessing to be doing life with you. I invite you to grab your headphones and head outside or maybe it’s a warm mug and blanket kind of day. Whichever you prefer, I pray that you are blessed by my words, whether written or spoken. May you hear or read just what you need, just when you need it! God is good that way!

Wishing you much love and joy on your journey, Kathy :)
